At NEI, our members are at the heart of everything we do. Keep an eye on this space to see which member we’re spotlighting next.
NEI member Joe Russo was granted a utility for his Snap Hinge. Joe’s hinge mounts like a traditional butt hinge and offers a 270-degree rotation. The hinge is ideal for cases and cabinets with limited space.
As an avid guitar player, Joe developed the hinge to transform his guitar case into a stand, providing him with a convenient and stable way to display and access his guitar during shows. Transforming his case into a stand also offers extra protection by keeping the instrument secure and off the ground, reducing the risk of damage.
Congratulations, Joe, on this achievement!

Imagine having an invention that you’re passionate about but not knowing how to share it with the rest of the world. New England Invents offered me an opportunity to participate in a pitch session where I was able to network with other inventor and pitch to a panel of professionals who offered helpful feedback and advice. That experience gave me the self confidence to take my invention to the next level. Their resources, expertise and knowledge seem unlimited and they have quite literally taken me from my workshop to the world.
